Showa Memorial Park

Showa Kinen Park is a government park located in the town of Tachikawa in Western Tokyo Prefecture, covering an area of about 160 hectares. This huge park has a variety of natural spaces, a children's forest, seasonal flower gardens, several water features, museums, a BBQ garden, restaurants, and sports facilities. It was built as part of a commemorative project for Emperor Showa's Golden Jubilee. 🚆 How to go?  Nishi-Tachikawa Station on the JR Ome Line (one station from Tachikawa Station) is directly connected to the Nishi-Tachikawa Exit of the park. The park's Akebonoguchi is a 10-minute walk from Tachikawa Station on the JR Chuo Line and Nambu Line, and an 8-minute walk from Tachikawa-Kita Station on the Tama City Monorail. There are two ways to visit this park, the first is on foot and the other is by bicycle. The park has multiple entrances and Bicycles can be rented from each entrance.
